Review of the Film "Love with Challenges" by D. Tyurin (Director, 2017)


 There are not that many films in Russia with disabled characters. Even when these characters appear on the screen, their depiction is stereotyped majority of cases and they represented as either a burden or victim. The genre movies often dramatic. Against such stigmatizing pessimistic image people, 2017 film by D. Tyurin “Love Challenges” stands out. This article analyses how filmmakers turned society's attention to challenges people face through humour comedy, which tricks used for making audience see normal instead isolated inferior perceived it.
